Dear Anthromes,
Cabeluda (Myrciaria glazioviana) is a typical native fruit from Rio de Janeiro, where I live. It is very sweet, though the seeds are enormous when compared to the fruit size. Hence the very thin and scarse pulp to be eaten.
Two other very rare, rarely cultivated closely related species are guaquica (Myrciaria guaquiea) and cambuca-da-praia (Myrciaria strigipes). The best one is guaquica. See photos (and small seed size!!!) of them in my webpage http://www.e-jardim.com.
